Our assignment was to create a functional office interior customized to the needs of the client – an ad agency based in a semi-detached house from the 90s. They were looking for a fresh interpretation of Brazilian favelas using the agency’s branding – gray, gold and a neon color palette.
The project was to include the development of several furniture modules – desks, dividers, cabinets and lighting – and their adaptation to the various rooms within the office and the particular needs of each user. The office also required a representative reception area, entrance hall and conference room. We came up with the motive of golden net inspierd by fashion campaigns, a little bit kitchy and traschy – we thoghut it will be a nice detail to use something cheap like typical fence but give it a quasi “luxurious” look – this structre has this potencial to grow just like the fawelas – the users can put things on them. For other details we used gray coloured MDF and metal galvanized in gold for all metal details.
Part of the project is a wall-mounted electric wiring system – grey cables wind up the walls and cascade from the ceiling directly onto the desks. Instead of using standard extension cords, the electrical sockets form a circular pod reminiscent of poultry feeders. In this case we have used some ready objects and adapted them into new functions. This gave us new ideas like this desk socket system which could be developed into an existing product … write to us if you have any ideas how to support this project.
